Notes
As the sauce cools down, it will have less of a strong apple cider vinegar smell. After refrigeration especially, it will begin to have more of that desired sweet and tangy barbecue sauce smell!
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups tomato ketchup
- 1/3 cup apple cider vinegar
- 1/2 cup water
- 2 tablespoons yellow mustard
- 1/3 cup Worcestershire sauce
- 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- 2 tsp onion powder
- 2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
Instructions
Combine all ingredients in a small or medium size saucepan.

Using a hand whisk, mix together all the ingredients until smooth.

Place saucepan on stovetop.
Bring the barbecue sauce mixture to a boil and allow to boil for several seconds.

Then, reduce to a simmer, and cook uncovered for 30 minutes.
